swim

I swam yesterday. It wasn't for very long, just to get the feel of being back in the water. It's been over two years! I loved it. Only bad part was I was stupid to not wear any sunscreen. Ouch!

the zoo

LOL I posted so many pics of these animals! These are our pets. Root Beer is the black cat. She doesn't like taking pictures. She is 8 and such a great cat. She was the only pet until we got Casper, the white cat. He is about 3. He is a terror! He is super cute though, and does like pictures. He torments Root Beer a lot. He also is kinda sickly - throws up a lot and bites his fur out all the time. So gross! Then along came Rascal. I swore I would never have a dog. I try to get rid of him all the time! He is super cute though, just high maintenance. He is so funny when he tries to play with the cats. He spins in circles in front of them and tries to get them going. I call him spinner. It's hilarious. I am the one who takes care of all three animals, even though Sidnee promised she would care for Rascal. She is just too busy. Anyway, this is the zoo at our house. Crazy huh!

exercise

This is me on a bike ride through Fulton Ranch...a year ago! I really need to get going again on some sort of exercise routine. I love bike riding, of course it's too hot for that right now. My goal is to get back into swimming. I talked to Sidnee's coach about doing some lap swimming. He said it's fine - if there's a lane, which chances are pretty slim. I'm gonna check it out after the break.

art

These are pics of some art I did back in the day. My favorites are the ones of the tiny doodlings. It's really hard to see the details - much cooler in person. I just love art. I really don't do much drawing these days, but it is something I can always fall back on if I'm looking for something to do.

temples

I was reading the Ensign last night. There were several articles about the temple and how to prepare yourself to be worthy for a recommend. I just love the San Diego temple. It is gigantic! It's cool to be driving on the freeway and then all of a sudden it's there in all it's glory. So beautiful.

school

School started today. Sidnee is in eighth grade now! I can't believe next year she'll be in high school. It's crazy how fast the time goes. I'm just focusing my time on looking for work. I need a job!

staying cool

last day of the swim meet. sidnee swam really well, just too hot! we went to get iced chai at cupz between races and had fun tailgating in the parking garage.
